Life's essentials consist of food, shelter, and medical attention. However, the need for friendship / companionship is just as strong.

That's why there is FRIEND TO FRIEND (FTF). FTF operates totally on contributions, mainly from individuals. We have regular support from three churches (2 Presbyterian and 1 Catholic) and one business (an attorney). This does not cover our annual expenses.

FRIEND TO FRIEND operates under the auspices of the Church Council of Greater Seattle, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization. FTF is not supported by the government, United Way, or the Church Council. FRIEND TO FRIEND depends entirely on contributions for its support. The nature of the program does not lend itself to charging for its 'service' nor the levy of dues upon those involved.

Consider how you can support the daily operation and special projects of the program. One way to look at it is: Your gift of $21 enables us to send application packets to seven prospective volunteers. Your donation will be used to support a no-frills office with postage, telephones, printing, two staff people, and other essentials. You can make it possible for others to volunteer today!

  • Contributors give annually. Send your check to:

Friend To Friend
PO Box 98766
Seattle, WA 98198

  • Pledgers give monthly, and are sent a one-year supply of (12) envelopes.
  • Boeing employees may write in: #10568 FRIEND TO FRIEND
  • State employees may give through Combined Fund Drive. Write in #509 000 for FTF-America. Friend to Friend America starts new FTF programs and sustains FTF in the Puget Sound area.
  • United Way donors: please write-in FRIEND TO FRIEND under "other health and human service agency in Washington State." FTF is completely approved.
  • Federal employees can give through the Combined Federal Campaign using the corresponding number.

We consider contributors to be actively reaching out to place new volunteers and helping to reduce loneliness and isolation in the Homes.

Your support is needed and will be used carefully.
