FUNDING
Friend to Friend depends entirely on contributions for its support. The nature of the program does not lend itself to charging for ‘services’ nor the levy of dues upon those involved (volunteers, elderly & disabled residents). An annual budget supports a no-frills office with telephones, printing, postage, one staff person and other essentials.
Friend to Friend Greater Seattle operates under the auspices (nonprofit 501(C)(3) status) of the Church Council of Greater Seattle (King & South Snohomish counties only) which does not fund Friend to Friend. The majority of funding comes from individuals.
Friend to Friend America: 1) is the resource, training and development of new programs around the U.S.; 2) matches volunteers in Pierce, Kitsap, Thurston and Snohomish counties of Puget Sound; 3) allocates funds to sustain current Friend to Friend programs.
